Douglas County residents asked to take COVID-19 survey

STAFF REPORTS

Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health is asking Douglas County residents to complete a short survey to understand how many people in the area have or do not have symptoms of COVID-19.

The information is confidential and will only be used by Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health to determine how potentially prevalent COVID-19 is in the community.

The survey will close at 5 p.m. Monday.

County residents will be asked to complete similar surveys several more times in the next few weeks in order to compare results, according to a news release.

"Completing the survey is voluntary, but we ask that as many people as possible participate to get a good picture of how the coronavirus is affecting the community,” Sonia Jordan, director of informatics at Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health, said in a statement.

Nearly 1,100 people have been tested in Douglas County, with 42 testing positive as of Friday.
