Scout food drive: Local Boy Scout troops will host a food drive Saturday for the Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry at the St. Paul Church of Christ. Those participating should place food donations in a bag or box and set it on their doorstep before 9 a.m. Saturday. Boy Scouts will then be around picking up the packages between 9 and 1. Cornhole Tournament Fundraiser: Eudora Parks and Recreation will host its first holiday cornhole tournament to support Toys for Tots. The tournament will take place at 1 p.m. Dec. 5 at Barbwire Barbecue, 601 E. 10th St. To register, teams are asked to donate at least two toys for the Douglas County Toys for Tots.

We also will accept birth announcements, engagement/marriage/anniversary announcements, high school and college graduation announcements, and pet news. Pet news could include announcement of a new pet, a story about a pet or an obituary for a pet. The cost of these various announcements will be $20 each, which includes a photo submission. The fee is to support personnel who must prepare this information for publication.
