Good Neighbor: Community Events and Announcements

History program viewing: The Eudora Community Museum will host a virtual program over Black history at 7 p.m. on Jan. 21. The program, "When Freedom Changed America," will feature a live speaker and will be available on the museum's Facebook page. It will be available for Facebook for two weeks after it is streamed live.

Health screenings: Eudora residents can register to receive a screening at a preventive health event at the Eudora Community Center on Jan. 22. Screenings will take 60-90 minutes to complete. To register for a screening, call 1-888-653-6441 or text the word "circle" to 797979. Residents can also click here to register and to receive more information about available screenings and discounts.

The Good Neighbor section will publish every Monday when there is content.

We will publish event notices once for free before requiring the purchase of an ad.

We also will accept birth announcements, engagement/marriage/anniversary announcements, high school and college graduation announcements, and pet news. Pet news could include announcement of a new pet, a story about a pet or an obituary for a pet. The cost of these various announcements will be $20 each, which includes a photo submission. The fee is to support personnel who must prepare this information for publication.

Send us your Good Neighbor news and events at eudoratimes@gmail.com.
