Good Neighbor: Community Events and Announcements

State music ensembles: Three choir and five band students from Eudora High School were selected for the KMEA State Music Ensemble on Thursday. They will perform with top student musicians from across the state.

State wrestling: The high school has approved a pep bus to go to the state tournament on Friday to take 30 students to support the wrestlers. The team has seven wrestlers heading to State on Friday in Salina, the most the school has ever sent to the tournament.

Chili feed: The Eudora Boy Scout Troop 64 will host a chili feed from 11-1 p.m. Saturday at the Eudora Rec Center. The feed is $5 per person and will include chili, potato soup, cornbread and cinnamon rolls.

Lions Club membership drive: The Eudora Lions Club will host a membership drive dinner at the end of March for anyone interested in joining. The Lions Club allows members to network, serve their community, and meet new people. Anyone interested in attending can message the Lions Club on Facebook or email Eric Tweedy at erictweedy@icloud.com. RSVPs are due March 20.

The Good Neighbor section will publish every Wednesday when there is content.

We will publish event notices once for free before requiring the purchase of an ad.

We also will accept birth announcements, engagement/marriage/anniversary announcements, high school and college graduation announcements, and pet news. Pet news could include announcement of a new pet, a story about a pet or an obituary for a pet. The cost of these various announcements will be $20 each, which includes a photo submission. The fee is to support personnel who must prepare this information for publication.

Send us your Good Neighbor news and events at eudoratimes@gmail.com.
