Special School Board meeting: The Eudora School Board will hold a special meeting Thursday evening to reevaluate phase yellow learning, which put Eudora students in a hybrid model. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and will be streamed on the Eudora Schools YouTube Channel.
Upcoming varsity sports: This week, JV and varsity soccer will take on Baldwin starting at 4 p.m. Thursday at home. Varsity football will kick off at 7 p.m. Friday at Tonganoxie. Volleyball will compete in the Tonganoxie Invitational starting at 8 a.m. Saturday. Coming up next week, soccer will play at 4:30 Monday at Bishop Seabury Academy and volleyball will host Tonganoxie, Basehor-Linwood and Baldwin at 4:30 Monday.
Coats for Kids: The Eudora Fire Department is collecting gently-used coats for the Coats for Kids Program. Coats can be dropped off in a plastic bag outside the front of the public safety building, 930 Main St., and will later be distributed to local children and teens in need. The fire department will collect coats through Oct. 30.

We will publish event notices once for free before requiring the purchase of an ad.
We also will accept birth announcements, engagement/marriage/anniversary announcements, high school and college graduation announcements, and pet news. Pet news could include announcement of a new pet, a story about a pet or an obituary for a pet. The cost of these various announcements will be $20 each, which includes a photo submission. The fee is to support personnel who must prepare this information for publication.
