With over 250 students planning to attend Eudora High School’s homecoming, the event is said to bring excitement and fun.
The coming week is packed full of events, including themed spirit days, a homecoming parade and pep rally on Wednesday, a football game against Ottawa, and the king and queen crowning and dance on Friday.
However, out of all of the events, homecoming coordinator Eric Magette said students’ favorite part is voting for king and queen.
“Just the drama and excitement of who is it going to be,” Magette said.
Another highlight of the week is the parade, which will start at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in front of the rec center. It will then proceed to downtown and stop at the CPA Park.
The parade will include all of the homecoming candidates and marching band, as well as floats for each of the active sports teams, Little League football teams and a few local businesses.
“It’s a nice little small-town celebration of our community,” Magette said.
There will be a community-wide prep rally directly following the parade on Main Street and anyone is welcome.
